Ion irradiation and implantation modifications of magneto-ionically induced exchange bias in Gd/NiCoO

چکیده
Magneto-ionic control of magnetic properties through ionic migration has shown promise in enabling new functionalities energy-efficient spintronic devices. In this work, we demonstrate the effect helium ion irradiation and oxygen implantation on magneto-ionically induced exchange bias Gd/Ni$_{0.33}$Co$_{0.67}$O heterostructures. Irradiation using $He^+$ leads to an expansion Ni$_{0.33}$Co$_{0.67}$O lattice due strain relaxation. At low He+ fluence ($\leq$ 2$\times$10$^{14}$ ions cm$^{-2}$), redox-induced interfacial moment initially increases, owing enhanced migration. higher fluence, is suppressed reduction pinned uncompensated spins. For implanted samples, initial below a dose 5$\times$10$^{15}$ cm$^{-2}$ subsequently dominated at by contraction phase segregation into NiO CoO-rich phases, which turn alters bias. These results highlight possibility as effective means tailor magneto-ionic effects.

Ion irradiation induced structural modifications and increase in elastic modulus of silica based thin films
Ion irradiation is an alternative to heat treatment for transforming organic-inorganic thin films to a ceramic state. One major shortcoming in previous studies of ion-irradiated films is the assumption that constituent phases in ion-irradiated and heat-treated films are identical and that the ion irradiation effect is limited to changes in composition. In this study, we investigate the effects ...

while performance-based language assessment has led to an increased authenticity and content validity in the practice of writing assessment, the reliability of ratings has become a major issue. research findings have shown different reactions by native english speaker (nes) and non-native english speaker (nns) teachers to students’ writings. the focus of this study is on investigating whether i...
Ultrastructural Modifications of Human Endometrium during the Window of Implantation
The endometrium is a highly dynamic tissue empowered with the capacity to undergo cyclic dramatic changes in response to ovarian steroid hormones, ultimately aiming to create a window of receptivity for blastocyst implantation. Intensive research has been performed to understand and establish morphological and molecular correlates of embryo implantation. However, it still remains a biological m...
متن کاملOn the mechanism of irradiation - enhanced exchange bias
– By means of layer resolved ion irradiation the mechanisms involved in the irradiation driven modifications of the exchange bias effect in NiFe/FeMn bilayers have been investigated. It is shown that not only the locations of the defects but also the magnetic coupling between both layers during the irradiation process is of crucial importance. This requires an extension of current models accoun...
متن کاملIon Irradiation Induced Effects in Metal Nanostructures
High resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM) and Rutherford backscattering spectrometry (RBS) are used to study the ion induced effects in Au, Ag nanostructures grown on Si and thermally grown SiO2 substrates. Au and Ag films (∼ 2 nm) are prepared by thermal evaporation under high vacuum condition at room temperature (RT). These films were irradiated with MeV Au ions also at RT. Ver...
